The event was initially due to run in February, but organisers in September last year said the show would switch to later in 2021, with potential dates sounded out for May or June.

However, after government last week announced that events without social distancing would not be permitted until June 21st at the earliest, organisers say it would not be viable to stage a show in the first half of the year.

While organisers say it may have been possible to move to a date later this year, hosting the 2021 and then the scheduled 2022 event in February next year was not a “sensible option” for visitors or exhibitors.

“The 2022 show will be held in Hall 20 at the NEC in Birmingham from February 20th to 22nd and we will be contacting exhibitors over the next month to discuss initial stand space reservations, so that we can prepare a provisional floorplan, by the start of April,” organisers say.

“We know so many of you are already looking forward to coming back to the show next year and we look forward to welcoming all of our exhibitors and visitors back to the NEC for the 2022 event.”
